Back to the USA 2017

Thanks to the scare of losing some Voyager miles…I am packed and ready for another USA adventure. This trip is going to be very different to my normal holiday. Lots of time will be spent visiting and staying with friends…cant wait.

I fly tomorrow night at 6.30pm to Washington DC…not looking forward to the 18 hour flight, however. I will spend 2 days in DC, then its off to Minneapolis for a reunion with my Amazon jungle friends. 3 days in Minneapolis, then up to Duluth on Lake Superior. I will then do a road trip along the Mississippi back to Chicago to visit for the weekend with Anthony. From there, I am hoping to see Jack Reacher, when I catch a Greyhound bus to Kalamazoo. An overnight with Parks and Bev in Richland and then back on the road driving through Ohio and the Amish country again, headed for Pittsburgh.

A short stay in Pittsburgh and then I am on the train through Pennsylvania to New York. Going to see Billy Joel at Madison Square Gardens and I still have not given up on getting a ticket to Springsteen on Broadway. I will walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.

And just to get us all in the American mood…..

To the tune of Born in the USA,….I shall be singing the following….

Going back to the Trumpman’s land

The first stop I plan is the pizza man

I’m gonna walk all day and eat too much

And spend half my time just touring around

Back to the U.S.A.

I’m going back to the U.S.A.

I’m going back to the USA

Back to the U.S.A.

Starting out down in DC

Then off to see some friends for me

Gonnna watch a baseball game

Ride the bus and catch a train.

Back to the U.S.A.

I’m going back to the U.S.A.

I am going back to the USA

I’m going back to the USA

Back to the U.S.A

Plan to end up in New York

Walk across the Brooklyn bridge

Then see a show at the MSG

Where Billy Joel will sing for me
