So that’s the fort? The rocks? Do they have any idea what it looked like before time weathered it away? Did it have a roof and things? You got some amazing pics!
It was a series of high walls enclosing the area….no roof. But inside were various stone huts with grass roof. Places to store meat, cook and shelter, in the second arc area, cattle stored…..so fort was designed to keep land marauders out and to observe invaders from sea side
