All the last minute shopping is done, the house is clean, the fridge is empty and the suitcases are packed. The cameras are charged, the garmin is set up for all addresses AND my blog seems to be working well.
On Friday, I am having lunch with Mom and Dad and then head off to the airport at 4pm. My flight to Dublin via Heathrow leaves at 8pm. Seriously excited now. Thanks for being part of this journey with me.
Although I am not Irish, I love these lyrics and they reflect a long yearning I have had to see Eire
BACK HOME TO IRELAND – Donal O’ Shaughnessey
Back home to Ireland for the first time
As I gaze on your fields and your shoresβ¨In each Irishman’s heart
there’s a part of you inside
In my heart I have been here before
Time calls upon me to fly o’re the sea
To answer those voices, they’re calling me home
The history has taught me what I am to love

Don’t forget to take photos of all the desserts. I had a quick Google. Looks to me like all the desserts have booze in them, so it may not be too hard for you to resist. The one that struck me was the Irish Chocolate Potato Cake.
Have fun. Tim who?
