Our second day in Swakop was quite rustig. A later start to the day, followed by a walk on the beachfront. Then a trip to the crystal gallery which was very interesting, with some incredible displays.

From there a milkshake at the beach and a trip to the museum. Although quite small, it was fascinating. Particularly loved the menus from the long ago ships. Roast albatros, shark fin soup….seems that we have always eaten weird things. We then walked around a bit and looked at the buildings and things.

Dinner was at the Brauhaus and it was great. Good vibe with great food and our strict waitress was actually quite funny. Dad appears ro have rediscovered his penchant for beer.

An early night as we had o be up and on the road quite early the next morning for the trip to Sossusvlei. As mentioned before, we stayed at the Hotel Zum Kaiser, overlooking the sea. Another great hotel with superb staff.
